MSIG adds CancerCare Plus, a new digital insurance product to its personal line portfolio
- CancerCare Plus is an affordable cancer protection plan and provides additional peace of mind with up to S$100,000 lump sum payout in the event of cancer
Consumers seeking to enhance their existing health insurance with cancer-specific protection, can purchase CancerCare Plus, a newly released online product by MSIG Insurance (“MSIG”).
CancerCare Plus pays out S$50,000 upon diagnosis of cancer at early stage and the remaining S$50,000 at advanced stage. This online product allows consumers to continue with their protection planning in the safety of their own home and can be purchased easily through MSIG’s website.
Consumers need answer 3 simple health-related questions as part of their medical declaration, to be considered for coverage and no medical examination is required. For as little as S$4.50 a month, a 29-year-old male can be covered for S$100,000 under this single plan. Consumers have the added flexibility to opt for monthly premium instalment and enjoy 20% discount off their premiums if they apply during the promotion period of 1 May to 14 June 2020.
“The current situation has taught us the importance to always be financially prepared. We saw how lives are affected due to a sudden loss of income. With no emergency savings on hand, it can take a toll on your financial well-being when cancer strikes you or your loved ones. No one likes to plan for the worst scenario but in these uncertain times, people should take a more serious view of their health insurance and add on protection for a better peace of mind,” said Mr. Steven Leong, Senior Vice-President, Consumer and Digital Distribution.
